When J’Lee is asked why “Country Soul?” Here is what she says: “For years when people would hear my music for the first time, they would comment, “’You sing Country but with lots of Soul and passion.’” After constantly hearing this, I labeled my music genre Country Soul.”

There within her variety of songs you will find Christian music, rodeo theme songs from bull riding, barrel racing and songs for cutting (horse) events. The newest addition to her catalog is the J'Lee Kids Christian Music album packed with eleven kids’ songs.

J'Lee says "out of all the years I've been singing and writing I'm still trying to get it right." Even more important than that she states "I will continue to love the Lord God with all my heart, soul and mind while lifting up the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour.
